Full-time AmeriCorps Position #2 with MCSP

Job Description: 

Michigan Community Scholars Program (MCSP) is a residential community for students who are committed to community service, social justice and academic study. Through small courses, service projects, social programs and other opportunities, students work to model a community of friendship, responsibility, diversity and much more.

Job Duties:
• Advise Program Board
• Train Student Leaders
• Supervise Student Leaders, including meetings, retreats, one-on-ones
• Coordinate MCSP program-wide activities, including: social justice film series, MLK Day, Program Welcome Week/Orientation and Community Building
• Facilitate development of diversity and intergroup relations activities, interfaith forum, educational programs and speakers, arts programs
• Support student academic success, time management, study skills, wellness
• Monitor community responsibility and program requirements – academic and civic
• Develop opportunities for intergroup dialogue and deliberation
• Assist in recruitment of new students to MCSP
• Oversee program marketing (new brochure), outreach, and website
• Oversee online news/program updates and bulletins
• Coordinate faculty involvement in co-curricular activities and programs
• Assist with development work
• Attend Senior Staff meetings
• Represent MCSP on committees and to community
• Staff office as needed
• Support the Director and Associate Director on special projects and as needed

These responsibilities are to be undertaken in consultation with and under the direction of the MCSP Director and Associate Director. Supervision will be received from the MCSP Director and Associate Director.
